Gibson Rickenbacker is a hired fighter living in a plague-ravaged apocalyptic America where a plague has infested most of the United States and the rest of the world. In New York City, Gibson encounters a woman named Pearl Prophet. Pearl reveals to Gibson that she is a cyborg who is carrying vital-information for a group of scientists in Atlanta who are working on a cure to the plague and Pearl hires Gibson to escort her back to Atlanta. But Pearl is kidnapped by "Pirates" a murderous gang led by Fender Tremolo, who wants the cure for themselves and they decide to take Pearl to Atlanta themselves. Gibson, joined by a young woman named Nady Simmons, goes in pursuit of Fender and his gang,Gibson sets out to rescue Pearl, stop Fender and his gang from reaching Atlanta and defeat Fender who slaughtered Gibson's family.
You can't take a Jean Claude Van Damm movie serious. This movie is low budgetit gets and the acting is awful. But, you still gotta give Van Damm some credit when credit is do. He can make some cool fight scenes that make a action film fun to watch. This flick is all about the knife fights. Its a true blood and guts type of film. This is not a film to watch on a first date. This is a true man movie. My favorite part of the movie is when Van Damm is on the run against twenty or more guys and he ends up in a sewer taking care of his Business. Don't expect to find any big names in this movie, just blood and guts. If your an action fan its a must see. If you like movies that win acadamy awards, its probably not for you. Enough said.
In this great action-classic we can see a young Jean-Claude. He wants one thing in this movie and that's to kill the man who murdered his girlfriend and her child. The movie has two moments you'll never forget. The first is when Vincent Klyne(great role) removes his glasses for the first time. A real exciting moment. The second is when Van Damme kicks himself free from his crucification. 'Cyborg' is a great action-movie and a real classic. I highly recommend this movie to everyone who loves Van Damme but also to everyone who likes action-packed thrillers.

Joined by Nady Simmons (Deborah Richter), a young woman, whose family died from the plague and was hiding, when Fender and the Pirates attacked a settlement and stole a boat. Gibson sets out to confront Fender, whom murdered his family, a young woman named Mary (Terrie Batson) and her younger brother, whom hired Gibson to escort them out of a city to a safe place, after The Pirates killed their father and forced his adoptive daughter Haley (Haley Paterson), to join his gang. no,but fender makes a referance to Blade Runner by saying "we have a skinjob" The old British BBFC 18 Versions are extremely censored. More than three minutes of action sequences are missing. There is also an uncensored versions available on DVD in the UK. Maze. Gibson saw Nady morea daughter or sister.
